Winner of The Manual & Men's Journal Best in Show and The Gear Institute’s Gear of the Year, the Tentsile Universe 5-Person Tree Tent is the world’s first Three-Element Tent. Just as it sounds, The Tentsile Universe can be pitched in the air, on the ground and even on water!
The Universe comes with a Trillium 3-Person Hammock which supports the Universe when set up in Air Mode and is suspended between 3 trees.
The rigid inflatable SUP base provides insulation in both ground and air modes but also allows the tent to float on water. This provides an amazing sunbathing deck and play structure, great for summer days at the lake or even for some casual fishing.
The Universe is spacious, easy to use, durable and everything you need comes included & packs into one neat, trolley bag.
No matter where you go, Tentsile Universe will have you well-prepared when you’re face-to-face with the elements.

- Recommended setup height is 1.2m / 4ft.
- Due to continuous design improvements, details may vary slightly from those stated here.
- Not suitable for more than 3 months continual use at a time. Our Tree Tents and Hammocks are not intended to be permanent structures. Each of our products has a UV rating which advises on average how many hours the product can be left out exposed to sunlight. This can vary depending on climate and altitude. If left out in the sun for prolonged periods of time UV degradation will occur, affecting both the colour and strength of your product. Our best practice advice is to pack away your tree tent or hammock after each use, ensuring it is both clean and dry.

Key Features of the Universe 3-Element Tree Tent:
- The Universe is built with a webbing reinforced floor which not only adds strength to the tent, but creates a separate sleeping bay for each person and prevents you both from rolling to the middle of the tent; a must-have feature for camping with 2 people. The straps balance out any weight differences and prevent all occupants from rolling towards the middle of the tent or the heaviest person.
- The inflatable SUP board base allows the tent to be pitched on the ground, in the air, or floating on water.
- When in the air, the 3-point anchor system creates tension which gives you a taut base to sleep on iving you the most comfortable night's sleep you've ever had in a tent or hammock.
- Designed for 5 adults (on the ground) and 3 adults (in the air), the Universe will hold a massive to 440kg / 880lbs.
- The Universe comes with a built-in no-see-um insect mesh to protect you from insects and other creepy crawlies.
- The 5000HH rainfly can be removed for fantastic views and summer breeze, but when attached, completely encloses the tent and keeps you dry. The rainfly extends outwards from the tent giving you a large, dry area underneath the tent to store gear or act as covered living space.
- The central hatch makes climbing into the tent simple when in air mode.
