Happy 10th Birthday Tentsile!

Happy 10th Birthday Tentsile!

We’re celebrating 10 wonderful years of Tentsile! And what an incredible adventure it has been. We could not be prouder of what we’ve achieved this past decade. From our first gigantic prototype, hand stitched in our Founder’s living room, to the entire range of suspended Tree Tents and Giant Hammocks we have now - we’ve come very a long way!

Treehouses vs Tree Tents

Treehouses vs Tree Tents

We’ve all daydreamed about building the perfect Treehouse in our backyard – whether it’s for the little ones to play in all year round, or for us adults to escape for a cup of tea and some peace and quiet! As kids, we could imagine nothing better than spending hours in our very own secret backyard treehouse, with only our imaginations and creativity (and a few birds) for company. Design and Craftmanship

Design and Craftmanship

The idea comes first, then you hone that until you get all the wrinkles out. It is only after that, you can start perfecting the craftsmanship. A tweak here and a tightening of the details there. It takes a while just like learning how to paint. You can’t hope to get a masterpiece out on your first try. With products, you need to send it out into the world, listen to the feedback, refine it and go again, until everyone’s experience of it is the same. So that’s what we did! We took on our customers’ feedback – good and bad - and used it to develop the range by adding new features.

Gear Check – Plan Ahead and Get Prepared

Gear Check – Plan Ahead and Get Prepared

We’ve all done it - left our gear check until the night before going on a camping trip and then find out something’s broken or missing or remembered that something was supposed to have been fixed after the last time you went out, but you’ve forgotten to do anything about it!
