We first visited the Big Island of Hawaii in March 2015, little did we know it would change our lives forever. The island is magical, mixed with breathtaking beaches, vibrantly green rain forests, volcanoes, foothills and black lava rock. We came back for New Year's Eve this year, to bring in 2016 in our favourite place.

We brought our Tentsile, and spent our time wandering around the island looking for places to set up our tree tent! We stumbled upon Mackenzie State Park, in Puna, Hawaii. It is known to be a haunted, 13-acre remote park on the edge of Hawaii and the Pacific Ocean. We first arrived to watch the sunset over the ocean and returned the next morning to catch the sunrise.

To have the chance to relax among the trees enjoying the beautiful view felt like we were one with Nature, moments in time that will not soon be forgotten. I thank you, Tentsile, for letting us have experiences like this.
